The Okura Prestige Tower Lobby “Symbolic Design Tour”
We offer tours that guide visitors through the lobby, designed by architect Yoshiro Taniguchi, and inherited by Yoshio Taniguchi, telling stories of its charm and symbolic design elements.
Year-round (only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)

* The start time will be adjusted according to your request.

* All proceeds from the tour will be donated to The Okura Tokyo Cultural Fund to support the arts and culture.

Tea Ceremony Room Chosho-an
Chosho-an, originally designed by the architect Mitsuhiko Otani, was rebuilt by Yoshio Taniguchi adjacent to the Japanese Cuisine Yamazato. Enjoy matcha green tea in the renowed tea ceremony room.

Okura Museum of Art
Donated Works
Okura Museum of Art is Japan's first private museum, founded by Okura Kihachiro, his father of Hotel Okura founder Okura Kishichiro. Okura Museum of Art owns 2,500 items, including 3 national treasures (such as the Introduction of the Kokin Wakashu, a 10th century poetry collection), as well as 13 important cultural properties and 44 important works of art. This exhibition will introduce on modern paintings, ceramics, calligraphy, embroidery, Nara-ehon (picture books), and wood-carvings, with a focus on works which have a strong bond with the Okuras.

Vegan Buddhist Cooking Class
In partnership with : Deeper Japan
Bring balance to your body, and find Zen with your mind, through the plant-based cuisine of Buddhist monks. Buddhist beliefs discourage killing animals, so neither fish nor meat are consumed, and in most cases, traditional Buddhist cuisine is vegan. Adhering to mindfulness throughout the process, ingredients are treated with care and each part is incorporated into the meal.
Tour the temple near The Okura Tokyo and learn about the tradition of Shojin Ryori. Then cook and enjoy seasonal sweets served with Japanese green tea, inside the temple grounds.
