A summer special training program was implemented at the Niutsuhime Shrine in Katsuragicho Kamiamano, Wakayama Prefecture on Saturday, August 19, 2017. 40 participants made up of elementary school pupils and junior high school students focused on practicing, wore costumes and dedicated Karyoupin (bird) and Kocho (butterfly) court dance and music according to the Shinto rites from 2 pm. The funds were used for repairing the feathers of Karyoupin, which were heavily damaged, as well.
